The Ministry of Higher Education and Research in partnership with EADS Foundation launched the tenth edition of the Irène Joliot-Curie Prize. Objective: To promote the role of women in research and technology in France and Europe.

A prize for parity

The MESR created the Irène Joliot-Curie in 2001 as part of its action in favor of parity. It is an opportunity each year to highlight careers and career women as well as copies of scientific models for excellence and dynamism.

The winners in three categories

The category "Woman Scientist of the Year" honors a woman who has made ​​outstanding contributions in the field of public and private research and whose work is recognized both nationally and internationally (grant: € 40 000).

The category "Young Woman Scientist" emphasizes and encourages a young woman who is distinguished by a course and copies of the work (grant: € 15 000).

The category "business course Woman" reward a woman who has put his scientific and technical excellence in the service of a career dedicated to research in business or who has helped create an innovative company (grant : € 15 000).
